Notes and highlights

Select text, highlight with a pencil and write a long passage note.

Applies to: App code inspected on October 3, 2026; distributed version not yet confirmed. Reviewed on October 3, 2026.

Highlight and erase text

Select reader text before choosing a yellow, green or blue pencil. Eraser removes highlights from the selection, not notes. To select or copy only, return to Select text. Check highlighting before moving to another page.

A note can have many paragraphs

Annotate opens the passage note pad. The verse's note icon opens its note in the notebook. Multiline notes remain linked to one reference; lines do not become verses. Sample: “Sunday study” with “First observation”, a blank line and “Question to review”. Do not use personal data in screenshots.

Passage notes and notebook

The contextual pad writes or edits a passage note. The desktop notebook organizes by reference and offers New note, Edit, Delete and Open in Bible. Opening a reference does not necessarily close the notebook; check window behavior in the distributed version before relying on it.
